The Significance of Mothers Day

Mother's Day holds significant importance as a day dedicated to honoring and appreciating mothers and mother figures for their immense contributions to our lives. It is a time to express love, gratitude, and respect towards the women who have played pivotal roles in nurturing and shaping us.

The celebration of Mother's Day provides an opportunity to acknowledge the selfless sacrifices, unconditional love, and unwavering support that mothers provide throughout our lives. It is a day to recognize their tireless efforts in raising children, maintaining households, and often balancing various roles and responsibilities.

Mother's Day serves as a reminder to express our appreciation for the nurturing and caring qualities that mothers embody. It is a time to reflect on the countless acts of love and kindness they perform daily, often without seeking recognition or praise. It allows us to pause and acknowledge the impact they have on our lives and the profound influence they have in shaping our character and values.

Furthermore, Mother's Day encourages us to strengthen the bond with our mothers, showing them our love and gratitude in meaningful ways. Whether it's through heartfelt messages, thoughtful gifts, spending quality time together, or simply offering a helping hand, this day serves as a reminder to prioritize our relationships with our mothers and create cherished memories.

Beyond celebrating individual mothers, Mother's Day also highlights the importance of motherhood as a whole. It recognizes the vital role mothers play in society, emphasizing the significance of their nurturing presence in the upbringing and development of children. Mother's Day celebrations often extend to honoring maternal figures such as grandmothers, aunts, sisters, and friends who have provided motherly guidance and support.

“The art of LOVE is largely the art of persistence.”

"Self  Love”    Valentine’s Day, also called St. Valentine’s Day, holiday (February 14) when lovers express their affection with greetings and gifts. Given their similarities, it has been suggested that the holiday has origins in the Roman festival of Lupercalia, held in mid-February. The festival, which celebrated the coming of spring, included fertility rites and the pairing off of women with men by lottery. At the end of the 5th century, Pope Gelasius I forbid the celebration of Lupercalia and is sometimes attributed with replacing it with St. Valentine’s Day, but the true origin of the holiday is vague at best. Valentine’s Day did not come to be celebrated as a day of romance until about the 14th century.    The day is popular in the United States as well as in Britain, Canada, and Australia, and it is also celebrated in other countries, including Argentina, France, Mexico, and South Korea. In the Philippines it is the most common wedding anniversary, ...

"NEW YEAR, NEW US"

"THE BEST IS YET TO COME"   When the new year comes around it seems like the perfect time for self-improvement.Even though I’ve always failed my New Year’s resolutions, every year I promise myself that this time will be different. I’ve tried everything from being a vegetarian to starting my homework earlier to giving up Facebook. Each time after about a month (at most) I’ve given up. Why do I even bother? I don’t feel that bad when I break my resolutions but sometimes I wish I could do better.     I know that it’s better to make a SMART goal, (specific, measurable, attainable, reachable, and timely), but it’s challenging for me to find a realistic goal to follow in a year. I like to accomplish little goals, so using my past knowledge, (and a little bit of brain power), I came up with a SMART New Years resolution.     I think I need to get a lot better at telling people, “No.”. I was born a people-pleaser, so I tend to subconsciously do whatever I c...
