Change starts with me

 The Change Within Yourself

Change is a constant in life, and it is often easy to point fingers at others or external circumstances when we desire a better world. However, true and lasting change begins within ourselves. When we recognize our personal responsibility and take the initiative to transform our thoughts, beliefs, and actions, we become catalysts for positive change. This essay explores the significance of starting the change within ourselves, the power of personal growth, and the impact it can have on creating a better society.

To initiate change within ourselves, we must engage in self-reflection and develop a heightened sense of self-awareness. This involves examining our thoughts, beliefs, and biases, and questioning their origins and validity. By becoming conscious of our strengths, weaknesses, and areas for growth, we can identify the areas in which we can bring about positive change.

Personal growth is a lifelong journey that allows us to evolve and become the best versions of ourselves. It involves embracing new experiences, acquiring knowledge, and cultivating essential qualities such as empathy, resilience, and open-mindedness. As we grow personally, we gain the tools and wisdom needed to navigate challenges, contribute meaningfully to society, and inspire others to embark on their own paths of growth.

When we commit to starting the change within ourselves, we become living examples of the transformation we seek in the world. Our actions, values, and choices influence those around us, including our family, friends, and colleagues. By consistently demonstrating kindness, integrity, and compassion, we inspire others to emulate these qualities and create a ripple effect that extends beyond ourselves.

A change often requires taking responsibility for our actions and their consequences. Instead of blaming external factors, we acknowledge our role in shaping our lives and the world around us. By taking ownership of our choices and their impact, we develop a sense of accountability that motivates us to act in ways that align with our values and contribute positively to society.

As we start the change within ourselves, we recognize that our efforts are not isolated. By connecting with like-minded individuals and joining forces with organizations or communities, we amplify our impact. Together, we can tackle societal issues, promote social justice, and advocate for sustainable solutions. Collaboration strengthens our collective ability to drive change and creates a network of support and inspiration.

In a world full of challenges and complexities, it is easy to feel overwhelmed or powerless. However, by recognizing the power within ourselves to initiate change, we unlock a transformative force that can shape our lives and the world we inhabit. Starting the change within ourselves involves self-reflection, personal growth, leading by example, taking responsibility, and fostering collaboration. Through these actions, we inspire others, create positive ripples, and contribute to a society that thrives on compassion, understanding, and progress. Remember, true change begins with us, and the journey starts by looking within.

“The art of LOVE is largely the art of persistence.”

"Self  Love”    Valentine’s Day, also called St. Valentine’s Day, holiday (February 14) when lovers express their affection with greetings and gifts. Given their similarities, it has been suggested that the holiday has origins in the Roman festival of Lupercalia, held in mid-February. The festival, which celebrated the coming of spring, included fertility rites and the pairing off of women with men by lottery. At the end of the 5th century, Pope Gelasius I forbid the celebration of Lupercalia and is sometimes attributed with replacing it with St. Valentine’s Day, but the true origin of the holiday is vague at best. Valentine’s Day did not come to be celebrated as a day of romance until about the 14th century.    The day is popular in the United States as well as in Britain, Canada, and Australia, and it is also celebrated in other countries, including Argentina, France, Mexico, and South Korea. In the Philippines it is the most common wedding anniversary, ...

"NEW YEAR, NEW US"

"THE BEST IS YET TO COME"   When the new year comes around it seems like the perfect time for self-improvement.Even though I’ve always failed my New Year’s resolutions, every year I promise myself that this time will be different. I’ve tried everything from being a vegetarian to starting my homework earlier to giving up Facebook. Each time after about a month (at most) I’ve given up. Why do I even bother? I don’t feel that bad when I break my resolutions but sometimes I wish I could do better.     I know that it’s better to make a SMART goal, (specific, measurable, attainable, reachable, and timely), but it’s challenging for me to find a realistic goal to follow in a year. I like to accomplish little goals, so using my past knowledge, (and a little bit of brain power), I came up with a SMART New Years resolution.     I think I need to get a lot better at telling people, “No.”. I was born a people-pleaser, so I tend to subconsciously do whatever I c...
