"A LOOK AROUND VIGAN CALLE CRISOLOGO"
Vigan’s well-preserved Spanish colonial architecture was named as one of The New 7 Wonders of the World. I’m proud.
Ilocos offers many delights, especially to newbie travelers. There were windmills and forts, sand dunes and the preserved corpse of a dictator. But none of it prepared us for the idyllic beauty of Vigan. Calle Crisologo is a long strip of road where you can find the centuries-old houses, the little shops, rustic museums and calesa rides. It shocked us to know that you can also find hotels and even a night club within the houses.
Going around the place makes me feel like I’m being transported back to this period in Philippine Spanish colonial time.
Every year, beautiful muses parade down the street, new festival costumes are created and worn, and new choreography is created.
I take a walk around calle crisologo. And rented a calesa to tour the area, and some of these photos were taken while I was in it. I requested a brief halt from the Manong so that I could take photographs.
